‘Central Hotel’ is the hypnotic new single from Gemma Hayes. “I wanted to bring to life an encounter I had many moons ago," explains Gemma. "Our lives intertwined for a moment in time. It's all like a ghost to me now. When I play this song live I feel transported to that place again.” Musically, she represents these influences using a dreamy, cinematic sound palette defined by the low rumble of synths and the distant strum of acoustic guitar. Her voice is acrobatic, drifting from a subtle whisper to powerful high notes effortlessly.
